• Quick Charge Between Resurfacings

  The high energy density of lithium-ion batteries provides the ability to quickly charge between resurfacings, maintaining power and eliminating the need for lengthy overnight recharging periods. Charge time is generally equivalent to work time. AC motors and controls introduce new efficiencies and virtually eliminate associated maintenance. Microprocessor controlled chargers communicate directly with the battery pack to optimize cell balancing and charging. The result: longer battery life. Proven and dependable Sevcon® Gen4 controls are built for tough industrial applications.
  
  
  

• Smaller Size = Exceptional Maneuverability

  With a compact wheelbase, the Model 450 enjoys a tighter turning radius, optimizing maneuverability. Unique to the 400 Series is foot pedal directional control of the machine. Its smaller footprint does not compromise the capacities afforded by the larger machines, with strong snow compaction and water tanks to support an efficient operation.
  

• Emission-Free Zero Maintenance Batteries

  The battery capacity of the Model 450 can support a variety of arena schedules. The battery package is smaller and lighter weight. Zero-maintenance lithium-ion batteries are sealed and do not require watering. In addition to their improved resiliency and longer cycle life, lithium-ion batteries do not release gasses during the recharging process and are emission-free.
  

• Hybrid Powertrain: Hydrostatic/Electric Motor

  The hydrostatic transmission affords unmatched power at any speed. The efficient accessory pump delivers full power and speed to the augers, even while the machine slows for corners. Full hydrodynamic braking with rear drum brakes for additional efficiency. Four-wheel drive and rugged Dana Spicer® axles combine with a hydrostatic transmission and a 64 hp electric motor, providing the most reliable powertrain in the industry.
