450 Maintaining the Cutting Blade

It is essential that the blade be sharp if the resurfacer is to operate properly. Conditions vary from one rink to another, but experience has shown that normally the cutting blade is dull and needs re-sharpening after 5 to 7 days of operations.

The cutting blade is extremely sharp and must be handled with care. The blade can INJURE whether sharp or dull. Use extreme caution! Use gloves and handle in scabbard as much as possible. Place blocks under conditioner while changing blade or reaching under conditioner.
