– a short, intensive, and rigorous course of training.

Designed for the varied needs of your operators. Skilled training by industry experts with real-world resurfacing experience. Using materials and best practices developed by the Zamboni Company, our trainers give your crew classroom education and proper on-ice training for all during dedicated ice time on the equipment they will operate in your own building.

Zamboni on-site training sets the expectations for your team, establishing consistency and facilitating accountability. Strengths and opportunities for development are identified to enhance their skill set leaving nobody behind with a plan for continuing education, even after the trainer leaves the building.

Bootcamp Training Requirements:

  • A full day of uninterrupted ice availability
  • Access to and use of Zamboni equipment on site
  • Classroom space onsite for training team
  • Class capacity up to 12 for one day event; classes over 12 require an additional day/days
  • Training team must view the Zamboni Ice Resurfacer Operation Instruction video prior to class day
  • Zamboni trainer will provide facility management a post-training report card with a team evaluation
  • Zamboni trainer will have scheduled check-ins with management over the 12 months following training to monitor team needs and performance

I. Machine Overview/Circle Check

  1. On-board components
  2. Machine functions
  3. Blade change process (2 parts)


II. Machine Maintenance

  1. Greasing daily, weekly, and monthly
  2. Emergency breakdown procedure


III. On Ice Observation

  1. With trainer and operator on the ice resurfacer engaging in proper sequence the components of the IR.
  2. Observing their flood pattern confirming they have proper overlap.
  3. Lastly, confirming proper disengagement sequence exiting the ice surface. “This will be determined based on what options are on your ice resurfacer.”
